Ceiling Fan and Light Fixture Installation

Swapping a dated fixture is one of the fastest ways to change how a room feels — and one of the easiest projects to put off when it means a ladder and a live circuit. We handle the fixture and fan work at existing locations, from vanity lights to dining fixtures to bedroom fans.

Fan and light installations are among our most requested jobs in Greenwood and the surrounding communities.

Fixture and Fan Work We Do

  • Replacing existing light fixtures

Old fixture down, new one mounted and wired at the existing box.

  • Ceiling fan installation

New fans and fan swaps, assembled, balanced, and mounted solid.

  • Vanity light replacement

Bathroom lighting updated and centered over the mirror or vanity.

  • Dining and kitchen fixtures

Pendants and dining fixtures hung at a sensible height for the table or island.

  • Outdoor wall-mounted fixtures

Entry and garage sconces replaced and sealed against weather.

  • Switch and outlet replacement

Worn devices swapped at existing locations when it's within the project's scope.

  • Ceiling box evaluation

Checking whether the existing box can safely carry a fan or heavier fixture.

  • Fan bracing and downrods

Fan-rated bracing added when needed, plus downrod setups for vaulted ceilings we can safely reach.

We don't take on whole-house rewiring, panel replacement, or new circuit installation. If a fixture location has no existing box, damaged wiring, or another issue that puts it outside handyman scope, we'll let you know before starting.

Common Questions

Can a ceiling fan go where a light fixture is now?
Only if the box in the ceiling is fan-rated. A standard light box isn't built for the weight and movement of a fan, so we check first and add a fan-rated brace when the job allows.
My new fan wobbles. Is that normal?
A slight wobble can come from unbalanced blades, but a real wobble usually means the mounting box or bracket isn't secure. Both are worth correcting rather than living with.
Do you install fans on vaulted ceilings?
Yes, when the ceiling is safely reachable with our equipment. Downrod length matters on a vaulted ceiling, so tell us the ceiling height when you request a quote.
Do you do electrical panel work or rewiring?
No. We handle fixture, fan, switch, and outlet replacement at existing locations. Panel replacement, new circuits, and whole-house rewiring are for a licensed electrician.
