What Disposal Work Includes
Removing the existing disposal
Power disconnected, unit dropped out, and the old mounting hardware and flange cleared from the sink.
Installing a replacement unit
New mounting assembly set and sealed, then the customer-supplied disposal hung and locked in place.
Sink drain connection
Discharge tube reconnected to the existing trap and drain piping, cut and fitted as needed.
Dishwasher drain connection
Inlet plug removed and the dishwasher line reattached so the machine drains properly.
Leak testing
Sink filled and released, with connections and the flange checked under real water load.
Operation check
Run and shut down to confirm the motor, switch, and drain all behave.
If the existing drain piping is brittle, the electrical connection is unsafe, or the sink flange area is damaged, that work is quoted separately — we won't hide it inside the install.

- How do I know the disposal needs replacing instead of resetting?
- If the reset button and a hex wrench turn get it running again, it may just be jammed. Water leaking from the bottom housing, a motor that only hums, or a unit that trips power repeatedly usually means replacement.
- Do you provide the disposal?
- We typically install a customer-supplied unit so you can choose the horsepower and brand you want. Tell us what you've bought when you request a quote.
- Will my dishwasher still drain into the new disposal?
- Yes. New disposals ship with the dishwasher inlet plugged, and that plug has to be removed before the drain line is connected — we take care of it as part of the install.
- What can add to the job?
- Corroded drain piping, a sink flange that won't seal, an outlet that isn't working, or a switch that needs attention. We'll show you the issue and quote the extra work before continuing.
