Common Questions
- What's the difference between a slab door and a prehung door?
- A slab is just the door itself and reuses your existing frame and hinge locations. A prehung comes with its own frame and jamb, which is the better route when the old frame is damaged or badly out of square.
- My door sticks and won't latch. Does it need replacing?
- Usually not. Settled framing, loose hinges, or a strike plate that's drifted are the common causes, and all three are adjustable. We'll try the fix before recommending a new door.
- Can you match the trim on my existing doors?
- We can install casing and trim in profiles commonly available locally. Exact matches on older or discontinued profiles aren't always possible, and we'll be upfront if that's the case.
- Do you repair garage doors?
- No. Garage doors and openers are a specialty trade. We stick to interior and exterior entry doors.
